Target of the project:

The main target was to build up the solution for EDI communication with an important customer and to make a connection to their ERP system SAP R/3. The solution includes document conversion from / to the SAP infrastructure (IDOC). The main goal was to create an automized process for IDOC data processing, its conversion to EDIFACT format and of course to enable data transfer in both directions.

Project´s content:

• installation of BIS:explore
• creating the connectivity to the net of an international communication provider
• integration of data exchange with the partner plant Model Kramp based on AS2 communication
• implementation of EDI messages DELFOR, ORDERS, ORDRSP, DESADV for two plants apart (partners in Belgium and Great Britain)

The important part of this implementation was the analysis of processes and data structures in SAP.
